ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Founded in 2011, Resetting the Table (RTT) collaborates with strategic partners to build important communication across political silos in American life. Its work ranges from one-off forums to intensive year-long programs for institutional and community transformation that replace long-standing distrust or avoidance with a culture of healthy dialogue and deliberation. RTT’s core activities include forums, trainings, and workshops that help communities to build communication skills, speak across differences, bridge divides, and explore charged issues. RTT has provided communication skill-building workshops, multi-narrative educational sessions, and consultation to hundreds of communities and organizations, including 75+ college campuses and 25 Jewish Federations.

RTT Los Angeles supports meaningful, productive conversations on charged issues that LA’s Jewish communities face, including Israel, red-blue divides, and others. Bringing together Jewish people of diverse backgrounds and views, its programs utilize skilled facilitators to open communication across divides for Jewish communities throughout LA. RTT’s approach supports stakeholders to speak, listen, challenge each other, and make decisions together with honesty, mutual recognition and respect.
