Foundation Hosts Networking Event For Professional Advisors at Wende Museum

On a warm July evening in the Wende Museum’s beautiful succulent garden in Culver City, The Foundation hosted a group of professional advisors to connect in person and learn more about how The Foundation can collaborate with them. Guests mingled over hors d’oeuvres and drinks, formed personal and professional connections and delighted in the summer evening together. Foundation Trustee Mark Schwartz and Foundation donors Mark Weinstein and Tom Corby were also in attendance.

Foundation Trustee Abby Feinman, along with The Foundation’s Natella Royzman, VP of Charitable Gift Planning, and Naomi Strongin, VP of the Center for Designed Philanthropy, spoke about how The Foundation works closely with our professional partners for the community’s benefit.

“Studies show that the majority of high net worth individuals believe their advisor should play an important role in helping with their philanthropy,” Naomi Strongin explained. “While many advisors can speak to topics such as planning for retirement, investments, or estate planning, having a partner like The Foundation that focuses solely on philanthropic pursuits is a differentiator that both helps your clients to feel good while gaining important financial advantages.”

The program was informative yet brief, and the crowd also heard from Justin Jampol, Executive Director and Founder of the Wende Museum, about his long relationship with The Foundation and its donors, most notably Peggy and Ed Robin. The Robins played a pivotal role in the museum’s founding through support from their charitable fund at The Foundation.

According to Ed Robin, “This event was especially meaningful to me because The Foundation has contributed to the success of the Wende and the preservation of an important part of 20th-century Jewish history.”

Erez Kabaker, Senior Wealth Manager at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, noted, “The Foundation’s event encouraged the middle word of their name – community. It was wonderful getting together after so long and seeing people I have not spoken with for over two years!”

It was certainly nice to see one another after so many Zoom calls during the pandemic. We hope for more gatherings like this in the future!
