ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Moving Traditions engages and empowers teens across the gender spectrum, creating safe group spaces to foster self-discovery, challenge sexism, and inspire a commitment to Jewish life and learning. During this time of social isolation and uncertainty, the need for Moving Tradition’s teen programming has only grown.

GRANT PURPOSE

To mitigate the economic hardship resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and to help them achieve long-term organizational sustainability.

“Throughout the pandemic, Moving Traditions continued to partner with institutions across the broad and diverse landscape of Jewish Los Angeles, helping them serve and support their youth and families by creating safe, immersive spaces where preteens and teens connect to themselves and each other, challenge injustice, and thrive. Moving Traditions is grateful to the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles for this grant, which will help us continue to do this work in support of the LA Jewish community, now and into the post-pandemic future.”
