ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Latet is the largest organization combating poverty and food insecurity in Israel. Acting as an umbrella organization for 180 local associations, Latet operates the leading national food bank and runs impactful aid programs, providing monthly food assistance to low-income families and food and medical assistance to Holocaust survivors.

GRANT PURPOSE

To support Latet’s Food Insecurity and Paramedical Aid programs, providing food and paramedical aid to low-income families and Holocaust survivors.

The very generous support of the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles will enable Latet to meet the tremendous increase in demand for food and first aid among the most impoverished households affected by the Covid-19 crisis. This funding will help provide nutritious food to families, children, seniors and paramedical aid to Holocaust survivors in need in this trying time.
