ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Founded in 2009 to help alleviate economic suffering of Jewish families caused by the economic downturn, the Jewish Family  Relief Network  provided first-time clients with coordinated services such as case management, mental health care, job retraining and placement, navigation of financial systems, and assistance with housing, food, and medical expenses.

GRANT PURPOSE

The Jewish Family Relief Network is comprised of the following five organizations: Builders of Jewish Education; Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles; Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles; Jewish Free Loan Association; and Jewish Vocational Service.

We are thrilled to receive funds for emergency loans at such a critical time for our community.  We are grateful we can meet the needs of those individuals and families facing financial despair through this important and valuable agency coalition. Our hope is that The Foundation’s seed funding will be the catalyst for additional funding from others wishing to support the critical work of each organization participating in the Jewish Family Relief Network.
