The Kibbutz Movement

ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Founded in 2000 when the two major umbrella organizations of kibbutzim merged, the Kibbutz Movement is an umbrella organization of all 257 kibbutzim and is responsible for strengthening these communities economically, morally, and socially. The Movement represents the kibbutzim to the government and its various bodies, and provides consolidated social, cultural and educational services to its members, as well as hosting lone soliders and recent olim. Its fiscal sponsor is Friends of Givat Haviva.
