ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Pico Union Project brings together different faiths and communities through its multi-faith cultural arts programming. Located in the diverse Pico Union neighborhood at one of Los Angeles’ oldest temples, it provides spiritual, arts & culture, volunteering and community programming for the LA Jewish community including the growing community living in Downtown Los Angeles. At the beginning of the pandemic, it pivoted its work to become an emergency assistance hub providing food to thousands of people each week.

The Sanctuary @Pico Union is building a vibrant alternative Jewish community in downtown Los Angeles offering experiences related to spiritual discovery, artistic expression and community activism for thousands of Jews across Los Angeles.
