La’Ofek

Founded in 2006, La’Ofek (formerly JobKatif) is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty for individuals in Israel’s social periphery through comprehensive education and job training programs. La’Ofek operates three main programs: 1) an educational bike-riding program that promotes school attendance and positive social behavior for at-risk youth; 2) an employment-focused program for soldiers from low socio-economic backgrounds; and 3) Achotenu (Our Sisters), an academic nursing program for Ethiopian young adults. Since its founding, La’Ofek has successfully assisted 2,800 unemployed people achieve financial stability
