Supporting Economic Development/Economic Self-Sufficiency and Jewish Identity
The Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles is committed to addressing two important issue areas facing Israelis living in Israel:
- Economic Development and Economic Self-Sufficiency
- Jewish Identity
The Foundation's Israel Grants are awarded only for programs that are able to meet the following criteria:
- The program must have a dramatic impact on a large number of people or geographic region
- For Economic Development/Economic Self-Sufficiency: the program must include job creation and/or job placement services
- For Jewish Identity: the program must work to further participants' ability to engage in non-secular Jewish life, e.g., text study and observance and understanding of Jewish holidays, rituals and traditions
Award Levels
Award levels are not pre-established but generally range between $100,000 - $250,000 over a two to three-year grant period.
