It is an honor and privilege to be part of the Jewish Foundation of Los Angeles team, serving our esteemed community of stakeholders. This dream role connects all of my strengths and passions with one of the most vital philanthropic institutions creating meaningful change for the Jewish and Greater LA community.
Doris Schwartz joined The Foundation in November 2024 as Head of Strategic Implementation, a new role managing key initiatives and ensuring operational alignment with the organization’s vision to amplify its philanthropic impact across the community.
With over 25 years of experience across both the private and nonprofit sectors, Doris is a versatile and mission-oriented leader with a passion for efficiency and creative problem-solving. Before joining The Foundation, she worked as an independent consultant providing operational leadership and growth expertise to founders, CEOs and nonprofit leaders – including multiple organizations supporting Israel and the Jewish world.
Prior to her consultant work, Doris served in various leadership roles, including Vice President of Production at the iconic film brand RKO Pictures, and Western States Director at Fundraising Management Group, a DC-based political consulting firm.
A longtime advocate for women’s leadership and social impact, Doris has served as a board member and advisor to nonprofit organizations and volunteers as a professional mentor. An East Coast native with Israeli heritage, Doris attended the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School of Greater Washington and graduated from NYU’s Gallatin Division with an interdisciplinary concentration in Political Science and Film/TV Production.
