Israel Grants

The Foundation’s 2022 Israel Grants cycle is now complete. The next grant cycle will be in 2024.

The Foundation seeks to support meaningful initiatives that embrace Israel’s vibrant, diverse landscape and create significant impact on Israeli society.

The Foundation supports projects and initiatives working in one of two areas:

  • Economic Development: Organization/program uses innovative techniques to improve the well-being of one or more vulnerable populations by providing access to opportunities for economic growth.
  • Jewish Engagement: Organization/program works to support Israeli Jews in their exploration of, and relationship to, Judaism, inclusive of a diverse variety of beliefs and expressions.

In 2021-22, The Foundation undertook a reflective planning process to determine how best to leverage our resources for greatest impact in Israel. Based on our findings, we have identified organizations that best meet our criteria to apply. The Foundation receives considerably more requests for funding than we can support, and we regret that we are not able to extend an invitation to more organizations this year.

Although our 2022 invitation process is now closed, we welcome the opportunity to learn more about organizations working in Economic Development and Jewish Engagement, for the purposes of future invitations or for sharing with our donor community when appropriate. Please feel free to send materials about your organization electronically to Sara Hahn, Senior Program Officer, at shahn@jewishfoundationla.org.
