ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Founded in 1970, Venice Family Clinic provides affordable health care for those who live in poverty through a network of 12 clinical locations providing comprehensive health care services. Its services provided include: medical, mental health, wellness, health promotion and education, case management, chronic disease management, prenatal care, dental, vision care, and early childhood development programs.

GRANT PURPOSE

.During the COVID-19 pandemic, the clinic is providing on-site testing with a particular focus on testing for people experiencing homelessness, it has transitioned 65% of medical visits online; it is distributing food to hundreds of people weekly, and it is preparing for a surge by training staff, and planning for increased space and equipment needs.

This generous COVID-19 Response Grant from the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles will help ensure that Venice Family Clinic’s dedicated staff can continue their critical efforts to support the health of our community’s most vulnerable individuals.
