Organization Description:

Founded in 1873, the Union for Reform Judaism is the membership umbrella for Reform congregations with vision, leadership, and programmatic resources designed to strengthen and expand Reform congregational life.

Grant Purpose:

6 Points Sports Academy, California is the first Jewish overnight sports camp in Southern California that integrates high-caliber sports programming with a transformative Reform Jewish camping experience for youth ages nine to sixteen.

The Foundation’s generous support will allow 6 Points Sports Academy California to offer a Jewish Camp experience to kids who traditionally opt out of camp because of their summer sports commitments.   Campers learn Jewish values while taking their sports skills to a whole new level.  6 Points campers not only improve their athletic abilities, they build self-confidence, strong connections to their peers, and grow into proud Jewish athletes.
