ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Founded in 1926, Temple Israel of Hollywood (TIOH) is a Reform temple. It is dedicated to worship, community, Jewish life, social justice, and Israel. It operates an early childhood center, a religious school, and an elementary school.

GRANT PURPOSE

To support professional development, leadership development, and staff wellness strategies responding to the impacts of COVID-19 on synagogue clergy, staff, and lay leadership.

When COVID hit, our professional and lay leaders entered into 'fight or flight' mode and fully committed to the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual health and wellness of the children and adults at Temple Israel of Hollywood. The generous support of the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles will replenish our leadership's energy and spirit so that we can reimagine our community and emerge with renewed strength and spirit.
