ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Founded in 1937 and 1947, respectively, Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills and Temple Isaiah are both leading modern Reform congregations serving West Los Angeles and Greater Los Angeles. They came together to create ChaiVillageLA.

GRANT PURPOSE

ChaiVillageLA is the first inter-congregational neighborhood-based Village network for participants interested in aging in place, built on a foundation of Jewish values and community.

We are grateful for The Foundation’s seed funding for The Village Project. The Village will lead to an intergenerational community composed of neighbors from each synagogue… helping us enrich our lives now, and negotiate needs that become more acute as we grow older.
