ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Established in 1962, Temple Aliyah is a Conservative congregation based in Woodland Hills. It provides a warm and inviting atmosphere celebrating Torah and the traditions of Jewish life through the values of education, spirituality, and community. It operates a religious school and an early childhood center.

GRANT PURPOSE

To support professional development, leadership development, and staff wellness strategies responding to the impacts of COVID-19 on synagogue clergy, staff, and lay leadership.

Thank you to the incredibly generous support of The Foundation, Temple Aliyah was able to provide our staff with the administrative support that we lost as a result of COVID. Throughout the pandemic, our entire staff took on additional duties, responsibilities, and many more hours, especially to assist our preschool, which functioned with only a director during the 2020-2021 school year. We are incredibly grateful for this support and to return to normal workloads - just in time for the High Holidays!
