ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of LA is a vital institution for Los Angeles’ Jewish and non-Jewish youth, providing a myriad of programs from mentorship to online teen guidance to college assistance to camp. Its mentors continue to meet with mentees and its online teen mental health program, Teen Talk, is thriving given an increased demand among teens for mental health assistance.

GRANT PURPOSE

To mitigate the economic hardship resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and to help them achieve long-term organizational sustainability.

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles feels a tremendous sense of gratitude for the generosity of the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles. We are fortunate to be a recipient of a $200,000 grant award from The Foundation who has demonstrated compassion and commitment for the Los Angeles Jewish community. Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters serves Jewish youth and their families facing adversity and loss at any time; and now during COVID their needs are greater than ever. Thanks to the support from The Foundation we will continue to meet their needs.
