Israel Advocacy

COVID-19 Response
Organization Description:

Fuente Latina is the only organization engaging and educating the US Latinx population about the Jewish world, Israel, and the Middle East through mainstream Spanish language platforms including TV, radio, and print. As a result of the pandemic and rising misinformation, Fuente Latina has developed a growing social media presence to address increasing anti-Semitism in that space.

Grant Purpose:

To mitigate the economic hardship resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and to help them achieve long-term organizational sustainability.

Latino public opinion matters more than ever before. Thanks to the incredible support of The Foundation, Fuente Latina (FL) can continue to provide LA’s thriving Jewish community with a voice in the Spanish-language media, both during the pandemic and beyond. FL is the only organization that breaks down geographical, cultural and linguistic barriers for Hispanic media covering the Jewish community and Israel by empowering journalists and influencers with information and access to facilitate accurate coverage in real-time. With this vital support, the Los Angeles Jewish community can take an active role in fighting antisemitism in the Hispanic world, while building bridges between Jews and Latinos through the media. Muchas gracias to The Foundation.
