ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

African American Board Leadership Institute trains and places well-qualified African American professionals on boards across a number of well-known public institutions, recognizing the need for more equitable representation among corporate, nonprofit, and government boards and committees.

GRANT PURPOSE

To provide support for direct service work addressing racial equity.

With The Foundation’s generous support, the African American Board Leadership Institute (AABLI) is able to expand our flagship Board Leadership Program, strengthen board placement services, and provide DEI (diversity, equity & inclusion) and leadership development training to nonprofit organizations and corporation employees. This work is essential to ensuring the values of diversity, equity and inclusion are addressed in our communities through board participation. During these uncertain times and beyond, the work we do to advance opportunity for communities of color is more essential now than ever before. We are truly grateful to The Foundation for its commitment to the community.
