2024 Human Capital Support Grant

Founded in 2012 under the guidance of Stephen Wise Temple, Wise Readers to Leaders provides meaningful service learning opportunities for Jewish teens by equipping them to lead literacy and enrichment programs that help close the achievement gap for underserved Latino youth. Its initiatives include an innovative summer literacy program for K-8 students; Tikkun Olam Corps program for high school volunteers; year-round mentorship and leadership offerings; parent workshops; and a college access program. To date it has served over 3,000 K-8 students and engaged over 1,500 volunteer teens.
