2024 Human Capital Support Grant

Founded in 2016 under the guidance of Wilshire Boulevard Temple, Karsh Family Social Service Center provides low-income community members with a range of multi-lingual social services in a single location, including critical food, health, family wellbeing, and legal services. Guided by Jewish values, it engages Jewish individuals, including congregates and otherwise unaffiliated Jews, in multi-generational high-impact volunteer opportunities that improve clients’ lives. In 2022, it engaged over 400 volunteers through onsite and remote projects, provided case management to 3,059 clients, and served 8,000 food pantry recipients.
