ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Founded in 2010, Saving Innocence works to rescue and restore child and adult victims of sex trafficking in Los Angeles County through crisis response, aftercare programs, prevention education, and coordinated partnerships with local nonprofits and the LA County DCFS, Sheriffs and Probation Departments, LAPD, and District Attorney. It coordinates shelter, clothing, food, medical and mental health care, and ongoing empowerment and advocacy support to break the cycle of exploitation and empower survivors to heal. In 2023, it served 287 survivors who were predominantly girls and young women of color.
GRANT PURPOSE
To provide one-time direct hardship relief that will help stabilize individuals and families during a time of crisis or need, substantially improving their self-sufficiency and quality of life.
