ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1980, Jenesse Center provides comprehensive, culturally sensitive services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children to break the cycle of violence and empower survivors to heal. Its supports 1,500 individuals each year through a variety of services including a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, transitional housing, legal advocacy, mental health counseling, workforce development, and children and youth programs. It also provides prevention education training to over 700 people each year, including law enforcement personnel, teachers, and faith leaders.
GRANT PURPOSE
To provide one-time direct hardship relief that will help stabilize individuals and families during a time of crisis or need, substantially improving their self-sufficiency and quality of life.
