ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1976, East Los Angeles Women’s Center (ELAWC) offers a wide range of services to women and families in East Los Angeles, with an emphasis on Latino communities. It aims to heal, support, protect, and empower women and families through a range of services including domestic violence support, counseling, childcare, and workforce development programs. Its programs serve 12,000 survivors and their children.
GRANT PURPOSE
To provide one-time direct hardship relief that will help stabilize individuals and families during a time of crisis or need, substantially improving their self-sufficiency and quality of life.
