ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1988, Homeboy Industries provides hope, training, and support to formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated individuals allowing them to redirect their lives and become contributing members of the community. Homeboy Industries is a one-stop comprehensive re-entry and therapeutic community and training program with 13 social enterprises ranging from a bakery, to a café, to a recycling program. It currently employs 400 clients in its 18-month re-entry program and serves thousands more through its community programs.
GRANT PURPOSE
To provide one-time direct hardship relief that will help stabilize individuals and families during a time of crisis or need, substantially improving their self-sufficiency and quality of life.
