Youth Emerging Stronger

Founded in 1985, Youth Emerging Stronger (formers Los Angeles Youth Network) provides shelter and supportive services to runaway, homeless and foster youth through its group home, transitional living program, and emergency and transitional shelters, which house up to 52 youth at any one time. In 2008, YES began taking referrals from the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and since then, has provided shelter and supportive services to more than 2,500 foster youth. The organization’s YES High School runs in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District, addressing the educational challenges common to youth who have experienced multiple placements.Â
