ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1970, Venice Family Clinic provides high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services to low-income and uninsured individuals and families in Los Angeles. They offer primary care, mental health services, dental care, substance abuse treatment, health education programs, and a homelessness street medicine program to ensure access to essential healthcare for all. Annually, it serves over 45,000 people through clinics across the Westside and South Bay.

To provide one-time direct hardship relief that will help stabilize individuals and families during a time of crisis or need, substantially improving their self-sufficiency and quality of life.
Telehealth/Information Technology Infrastructure: To keep older adults engaged and prevent social isolation, the grant will strengthen information-technology infrastructure to provide high-quality virtual services. VFC will purchase an integrated telehealth video tool enabling patients to complete pre-visit paperwork, have fully encrypted visits, and receive post-visit details via video.
.During the COVID-19 pandemic, the clinic is providing on-site testing with a particular focus on testing for people experiencing homelessness, it has transitioned 65% of medical visits online; it is distributing food to hundreds of people weekly, and it is preparing for a surge by training staff, and planning for increased space and equipment needs.
The Mental Health Services and Early Head Start programs provide uninsured, low-income and homeless families with rental assistance, car repair assistance, transportation vouchers and clothing vouchers.
