ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Founded in 1977, St. Vincent Senior Nutrition Program dba St. Vincent Meals on Wheels (SVMOW) prepares and delivers nutritious meals to homebound seniors and other vulnerable residents across Los Angeles regardless of age, illness, disability, race, religion, or ability to pay. In addition to providing meals, SVMOW provides crisis intervention, wellness and safety checks, service referrals, and social calls. SVMOW’s is one of the largest Meals on Wheels in the US and serves the City of Los Angeles, delivering thousands of meals a month to seniors who are at risk of hunger, with a current client base of 900 individuals.
