Colel Chabad works closely with municipal governments throughout Israel who help identify and screen those who are in need. In response to the October 7 attack, Pantry Packers is distributing food to civilians in shelters across Israel. Based in Jerusalem, Pantry Packers is activating its 22 free soup kitchens and meals on wheels programs to provide food packages to those in need, including people displaced by the war who need reliable access to nutritious food. Pantry Packers creates culturally-sensitive food that honors the dietary requirements of the Ethiopian, Arab and Haredi communities.
