Nitzan: the Israeli Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities

ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1964, Nitzan: the Israeli Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities is the leading organization in Israel for people with learning differences (LD). Because there is no law requiring schools to provide students with learning disabilities with the services they need for optimal learning, it is Nitzan that often steps in to identify students with learning disabilities and design programs to support them. With 40 branches nationwide, Nitzan’s services include assessments, development of relevant learning materials, counseling to parents, professionals training, public awareness and advocacy for the rights of the learning disabled.
