Journey Out
ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1980, Journey Out helps survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking leave a life of abuse and violence, overcome their fears, reach their full potential and achieve their goals. Formerly known as the Mary Magdalene Project, Journey Out has since transitioned from providing housing and shelter to providing survivors with the critical services and support needed to break free from sex trafficking. Programming includes youth prevention and intervention, emergency support and crisis counseling, street outreach, a Drop-In Center, and an alternative sentencing diversion program.Â

The Prostitution Diversion Program and Drop-in Center provides adult survivors of sex trafficking with the knowledge, skills, resources, and support to address their trauma, escape commercial sexual exploitation, and achieve independence.
