ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION

Founded in 2023 in response to October 7, The Hostages and Missing Families Forum is a volunteer-based organization advancing the ongoing efforts through all channels, locally, regionally and globally, to bring the hostages and the missing back home to their loved ones. The Forum includes family members and friends of the hostages alongside top security, law, media and diplomacy experts who are donating their time to the cause. Donations are directed towards advancing all necessary efforts to raise awareness, create campaigns in Israel and abroad, and end the hostage situation in a speedy manner. Their fiscal sponsor is Merit Spread.

The Forum’s efforts to publicize the plight of the hostages includes:

  • PR efforts: campaigns in 30 cities around the world, including billboards of the missing in Times Square, full-page ads in international newspapers, social media content, and media appeals in 11 languages.
  • Diplomatic pressure: Advocating to the United States, Europe, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia to maintain international pressure to release the hostages.
Support to abductees: Maintaining a medical database with abductees’ medical information, and coordinating with the International Red Cross to meet their needs if/when released.
