aChord

aChord – Social Psychology for Social Change, was established in 2015 by Prof. Eran Halperin, a world-renowned social psychologist. aChord is based on the idea that too many interfaith and intergroup projects are based on intuition, and do not rely on existing scientific knowledge on how to shape people’s mindsets, therefore becoming much less effective and impactful. Utilizing advanced applied research methods, aChord helps diagnose psychological and social barriers to improve relations between Jews, Arabs, and Haredim. It then works with employers, schools, universities, and the public sector to implement programs that reduce biases, assist in workforce integration of Arab and Haredi populations, and improve shared society efforts. aChord is an independent entity, hosted at Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
