The third presentation in the speaker series featured Barbara Bergstein of the law firm of Burgh, Balian & Bergstein LLP Attorney Barbara Bergstein discusses what professionals should be looking for in dealing with clients who are aging and how they can prevent their elderly clients from being taken advantage of. While lawyers can't divulge attorney-client privilege, financial professionals have the ability to report elder abuse. Her advice: Be aware, keep your eyes and ears open and make sure that everyone is on board to protect the rights of the elderly.
