Leah Bishop

Leah Bishop, Esq., is co-chair of The Foundation’s Professional Advisor Speaker Series Planning Committee, and Partner in the Trusts and Estates department of Loeb & Loeb LLP, in its Century City office. She specializes in tax planning for individual clients and closely-held businesses and in the administration of estates and trusts, and has extensive experience in the areas of charitable giving and exempt organizations.

The Foundation is a fabulous place to help solve a client’s particular problem. I had a client who hoped that his private family foundation would fill a very unusual grant-making niche in both the Jewish community and the community at large. He didn’t have the infrastructure to accomplish the outreach and target the grants in the manner he envisioned, nor the capacity to follow through with the necessary due diligence. The Foundation’s Center for Designed Philanthropy was able to provide him with those services using its extensive network of non-profit organizations and experience in managing accountability processes. Thanks to these kinds of professional resources at The Foundation, my client was able to immediately implement his grant-making program and launch what has since become a powerful charitable asset in the Los Angeles community.
