Founded in 1952, the Jewish Federation identifies and funds a broad range of Jewish social service, educational and humanitarian programs with the goals of enhancing Jewish identity, meeting critical human needs in a Jewish context and strengthening bonds with Jewish people worldwide. Its 3 strategic initiatives are ensuring the Jewish future, caring for Jews in need and engaging in our community.
The NuRoots Community Fellows program, one component of the Jewish Federation’s larger engagement initiative for young adults, will select and train 5 highly qualified fellows to serve as dynamic mentors, community organizers and educators to network and engage thousands of unaffiliated young adults in meaningful Jewish experiences in their own neighborhoods. NuRoots Fellows will facilitate one-on-one meetings, intimate gatherings, community-wide and large scale events to inspire content, community and connection for those in their 20s & 30s so that young Jews find, own and engineer fulfilling lives and meaningful communities.
