Dan Rothblatt joined The Foundation in 2007 to oversee and coordinate all philanthropic services offered by The Foundation. He has a broad range of experience in the areas of annual, endowment and capital campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, campaign management, budgeting and planning. Prior to joining The Foundation, Rothblatt served as deputy director for development at the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association. Previously he worked as vice president of development at American Jewish University, American Jewish Committee, Jewish Federation of Los Angeles and at the Northridge Hospital Foundation. He earned his bachelor’s degree in design and industry from San Francisco State University, a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California, and a master’s degree in Jewish communal service from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR). He has served as a consultant to non-profit organizations throughout Los Angeles, published articles about planned giving, and serves as a member of the faculty of the American Jewish University MBA graduate program and its Rabbinic Management Institute, as well as teaches at UCLA Extension. He was honored by the Jewish Communal Professionals of Southern California in 2010, and received an honorary doctorate from HUC-JIR in 2011. Dan has contributed to Fund Raising Management, Journal of Jewish Communal Service, San Fernando Valley Business Journal, and the Los Angeles Business Journal.
