StandWithUs is a nonpartisan, nondenominational organization that was established in 2001 to increase understanding and improve misperceptions about Israel through education and outreach. Its Public High Israel Education program provides lesson plans, multimedia CDs, teacher workshops, and speaker presentations for students to showcase Israel's positive, valuable contributions to the world.

The StandWithUs Public High Israel Education program provides lesson plans, multimedia CDs, teacher workshops, and speaker presentations for students in the LAUSD to showcase Israel's positive, valuable contributions to the world. StandWithUs developed subject-specific lesson plans that augmented the Holy Land Democracy program for use with 9th-12th grade students. It also enhanced the existing website LearnIsrael.org to include new materials and provide email announcements to teachers and a new web portal for students. Hundreds of teachers and students have registered on the website and more than 1,200 lessons plans have been downloaded.

An existing DVD from the program about Israel's technological innovations really captured the students' attention. They're still talking the flying cars, and the camera-in-a-pill that is used to diagnose cancer. And they were fascinated to learn about the agricultural innovations that Israel is implementing in Darfur and other third-world countries.
