Founded in 1995, the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and the Greater East Valley helps young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The organization is committed to providing affordable after school, summer, extended day care programs and services covering a wide range of programs at little to no cost.
Money Matters teaches youth, ages 10-18, about basic money management including budgeting, saving, investing and managing a checking account. Career Launch serves youth, ages 13-18, at risk of dropping out of school, enabling them to explore careers and the world of work by volunteering at the Club and attending a weekly job training class. The Club serves 250 youth in the Money Matters program and 80 in the Career Launch program in 2011-12.
