Grantmaking is the heart of what we do. For more than 50 years The Foundation has supported community improvement projects - both Jewish and non-Jewish - locally and in Israel.
Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to distribute a total of $52 million in grants in 2010 to improve our community.
We take our selection process seriously and require each organization to complete a rigorous screening process. With this rigor comes respect and, oftentimes, other funding opportunities in the community. Plus, The Foundation offers its grant recipients professional guidance and ongoing support to ensure their programs are successful.
This annual grant program aims to inspire and motivate creative thinkers and social entrepreneurs to propose transformative projects that address critical community needs. We award grants of up to $250,000 for programs lasting up to three years.
Awarded in the spring of even-numbered years, these grants support construction and renovation projects for facilities that predominantly serve members of the Los Angeles Jewish community.
These annual grants are The Foundation's way of partnering with organizations outside of the Jewish community to address areas of mutual concern.
Through this annual grant program, The Foundation partners with other funding entities to maximize our charitable impact in Israel. We offer grants of up to $250,000 for small programs with immediate results or long-term programs with the potential for widespread social and economic impact in Israel.
