Eugene Stein is vice chairman and a director of Capital Strategy Research, a unit of the Capital Group Companies, a global investment management company. He is also senior vice president of Capital World Investors, and a director of Capital Research and Management Company. In the community, he serves on the Boards of Pitzer College (formerly Board chair), the Los Angeles Opera, and UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management. He is president of the Tikun Olam Foundation (a support organization of the Jewish Community Foundation) which promotes early childhood mental health and the prevention of child abuse. Mr. Stein received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from UCLA and his MBA from Harvard University. He and his wife, Mindy, live in La Canada and they have three children and one grandchild.
