Herb Glaser is the head of the Glaser Development Company, and was a successful attorney earlier in his career. For more than half a century, Mr. Glaser has lent his support to institutions throughout Los Angeles and Israel, and has served in numerous leadership roles and capacities on behalf of the Los Angeles Jewish community, the general community and Israel. His major leadership positions include major gifts chairman for the United Jewish Fund, member of the Board of American Jewish University, serving on the Jewish Federation's Executive Committee, and as founding chair of the Los Angeles-Tel Aviv Partnership, the Jewish Federation's project devoted to building people-to-people bridges of understanding between Tel Aviv and Los Angeles. Mr. Glaser is a prior chairman of the Bureau of Jewish Education, and was on the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel. He has served as a commissioner and as president of the City of Los Angeles Fire Commission. Mr. Glaser received his bachelor's degree from UCLA and a law degree from Harvard Law School. He and his wife, Sharon, live in Beverly Hills and have two married children.
